South Island School Emerged Leaders

Each year ESF offers a Leadership course Emerging Leaders that is open to all schools in Hong Kong. Spaces are limited and candidates are screened for leadership potential to be eligible for these highly sought after spaces. We are very fortunate to have talented staff at SIS and we are very proud of this years cohort of teachers completing the course. As an ending to their hard work over the school year, each teacher/leader presented their leadership journey which was very reflective, passionate and worthy of the title ‘Emerged Leader’.
Congratulations to Ms Chile Le, Ms Danni Li, Dr Shaine Bushell, Ms Lucy Edwards and Dr Elise Daily!

Well done Burton!

Burton Cheung (9M2) received the first-runner up prize in the recent HSBC Golf tournament at Clearwater Bay Golf club.  It was an exciting tournament as Burton and the Champion had been on equal score until the last hole when Burton lost one stroke behind the Champion.

Congratulations Burton!

SIS End of Term Concert: MONSTER

The Music Department would like to invite you to join us for our year end gala concert, which this year takes a light-hearted look at monsters in music. More than 120 students are performing, singing, playing or dancing and there will be some film from our Media Department. Including items from Saint-Saens’s ‘Dance Macabre’ to music from Disney’s Coco and the theme music from ‘Game of Thrones’, it promises to be an enjoyable way to end the term.

ANGST – the movie follow up

Thank you for those of you who were able to attend our showing of ‘Angst’ last Tuesday, the movie that explores the issue of teen anxiety – we hope you found it thought provoking and useful.

If you weren’t able to access the link to the Google form where we are collecting feedback and suggestions about what we can do at SIS to support students experiencing those kinds of thoughts and feelings portrayed in the film, here it is once again:
