Support!HK Youth Leadership Conference 2018

Hi all,

Interested in marketingmaking business pitches and want to create your own NGO/service initiative? Then Support!HK’s Youth Leadership Conference (YLC) is just for you!

The annual Youth Leadership Conference (YLC) by Support! International Foundation is one of our core events that challenges students aged 12-18 from all backgrounds to engage in local issues of social mobility, education and environmental sustainability. This year, our theme is, ‘A Drop To A Ripple’, aiming to describe how your small acts can lead to a series of changes within the community.

Through discussion and collaboration with fellow students and by engaging in multiple workshops that teaches them valuable skills such as risk taking, pitching in ideas and creating startups, students will learn to create and manage their very own innovative community service projects. In groups, students will then pitch their plan to a panel of well-acclaimed professionals and receive feedback and advice on how to put their ideas into action. Support! will then financially assist the selected winners in implementing their proposals – turning their ideas into reality.

Students can win $3000 to put their idea into action, and all participants will achieve certificates of accomplishment and CAS credits if applicable. By participating in the conference, you will receive the opportunity to start your own community initiative, converse with experts in different business fields, talk to other likeminded youth, receive a participation certificate at the completion of the conference, receive CAS creativity hours and most importantly, receive a $3000 cash prize by Support!HK to help implement your ideas if you are a part of the winning team.

SIS End of Term Concert: MONSTER

The Music Department would like to invite you to join us for our year end gala concert, which this year takes a light-hearted look at monsters in music. More than 120 students are performing, singing, playing or dancing and there will be some film from our Media Department. Including items from Saint-Saens’s ‘Dance Macabre’ to music from Disney’s Coco and the theme music from ‘Game of Thrones’, it promises to be an enjoyable way to end the term.
