Academic Honesty

We have had some concerns in school this year about ‘academic honesty’. When students submit work, in particular for external examination assessment, it is essential that the work they submit is their own original product. It is very easy for students to plagiarise (copy) from sources on the  internet – sometimes this is done unknowingly.

Examination Board penalise plagiarism very heavily and work that is found to be copied is likely to result in a zero mark.

Here are two useful videos that are shared with students, and which explain how to paraphrase and source information correctly without actually copying from original text or other sources.
